Today was our first day since starting the trip when we really didn’t do much at all. We had a slow start to the day and had a walk around Enkhuizen this morning for about an hour, Amy took the opportunity to drop into the Hema and buy some gloves (she lost her last pair in Berlin somewhere) and a few other items while we were out however the weather started to turn so we headed home and spent the afternoon hanging out with Rosemarie and Maikel in their beautiful home. I read some of my book but was often distracted by just looking out the window and enjoying being in Enkhuizen. The weather was quite gloomy all day with a light rain falling for much of the day.
This evening we drove to Nibbixwoud to dine at the Wok Palace which is an all you can eat Chinese restaurant. The food was great and you were able to pick your own meat, fish and vegetables and the chefs stir fried it with your choice of sauce. We also had some meat grilled and there is a selection of heaps of other food types and we also enjoyed their large dessert range. Of course I ate way too much, my discipline for portion control had been appalling this trip, I think I’ve put on at least 5-10 kilograms.
Anyway, it was a great restful day and a fun night out with Rosemarie and Maikel.
Tot ziens.
